Frequently Asked Questions

  • We are all products of our environment. I’ve been injecting for 5 years now, but I initially and still practice anesthesia. Because of this, less is more and you can always add more is a core foundation of my practice. In my clinical experience I have learned it’s easy to give medication, but it is really challenging and sometimes impossible to take it back. I’ve been criticized for being conservative, but that’s my vibe and I’m sticking to it. I want natural results—preserved beauty, natural refinement. I don’t overfill, I’m not afraid to say no, and it’s worked for me and my clients thus far.

  • Although these are beauty treatments, ultimately it is a medical treatment. I personally complete a comprehensive medical history including your prescriptions and social behaviors and seamlessly incorporate this into our aesthetic plan. Many clients are healthy without comorbidities, but I’m looking out for all clients and ensuring treatments are safe and effective for all. In the chair, I run through my signature approach of Surface, Shape, Structure and work together with your budget to achieve your goals.

  • Average duration of wrinkle treatments is 2.5-3 months although Daxxify® reportedly can last up to 6 months.

  • This varies depending on area of injection and type of filler used.

HA Fillers can last from 6-12 months.

Sculptra® can last up to 2 years.

  • Wrinkle treatment can be what we say as spicy, but it’s very short-lived and my client tell me I do have a gentle touch. As gentle as someone can help injecting you with a needle. LOL.

Dermal Filler—YES, but they don’t hav to be. Ultimately it all depends on the client and WHERE you are being injected. With an anesthesia provider, I tell my clients all the time it makes me feel uncomfortable when you are uncomfortable. I have a compound pharmacy make an extra strength topical and I can numb clients and do nerve blocks like nobody’s business to keep you comfortable and pain free.

  • Maybe. Some people are more at risk for bruising while others are not. Sometimes people will bruise for one treatment, but not the other. You're not likely to bruise for wrinkle treatments, but I will say you're more likely to with dermal fillers. Regardless, I always recommend giving yourself treatments at least two weeks before any important event to allow for proper healing and retouching.

  • DM me on my @sitka.beauty account on IG or text me and I'll schedule your appointment.

  • If you're unable to make an appointment during my clinic time, then I'm able to come to you! Certain services can be offered in the comfort of your home, pending a screening. A transportation fee is applied, but you don't have to worry about anyone seeing you if you want to remain incognito.

  • Wrinkle Treatment should be performed at least 2 weeks before any important event.

Dermal Fillers should be completed at least a month before any important even such as a wedding.

Swelling can widely according to the individual, but it typically peaks at 48 hours than gradually subside over days or weeks. This timeline depends on the client’s heatlh, treatment, location, and even number of times injected.

Skin care should be started at least a month before an important event to achieve your skin care goals.

  • Unfortunately, there is not enough clinical evidence that shows medical injectables are safe during pregnancy or nursing. I, personally, don’t inject when someone is pregnant or nursing, but as a silver lining—If there is a time to take a hiatus from beauty treatment it’s when you’re pregnant. All that extra blood (40-50%) actually gives your that coined pregnancy glow—radiant skin and luscious lips to name a few!

  • At Sitka Aesthetics, your experience with me as an injector is unlike any other. I use my signature approach, expertise medical knowledge, and craft a personalized aesthetic plan tailored to your unique goals and aspirations. My current clients know, my care doesn’t stop when you walk out of my clinic—I ensure we follow up with one another ensuring the best results for your treatment. I’ve moved away from per syringe pricing, opting instead for a structure based on specific treatment areas namely for dermal HA fillers.
